We now offer mid-phos Electroless Nickel on aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper & brass. The most common spec is MIL-C-26074 E (we offer all grades and classes). Other common specs we offer are: AMS 2404, AMS 26074, and ASTM B733-04. Please call us (x232) if you don’t see your specification listed here. We will be happy to research it to see if our process meets your spec too!
Electroless Nickel is mainly used in engineering applications. Deposit properties of Electroless Nickel far exceed those of electro-plated bright nickel. Improvements in wear resistance, corrosion resistance and hardness are achieved. The coefficient of friction and stress of deposit are also reduced in comparison to electro-plated bright nickel. Uniform thickness is achieved on all surfaces where solution makes continuous contact. Our process uses the most recent technology which meets the automotive end of life vehicle (ELV) initiatives and specifications. Our process also meets the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) initiatives and Restrictions of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulations.
We have completed the many steps involved in setting up the Electroless Nickel process, including facility design, shop remodel, equipment design and manufacture, operational procedures, accept/reject criteria, laboratory analysis, and employee training. For more information we have posted our Electroless Nickel Shop Build project under Project Profiles.
