Chemical Films (Alodine)

Chemical Films are also known as chem film, alodine, iridite, chemical conversion coatings, or chromate conversion coatings. We offer Mil-Spec and RoHS compliant chemical films. RoHS compliance is achieved by using trivalent chromate chemistry (as opposed to hexavalent chromate chemistry). Hexavalent chromate produces the gold color associated with gold alodine. Our hexavalent chemical films are offered in both clear and gold color. Trivalent chromate, however, is only offered in clear.
